Marí: “We are proud of the game we played”
The striker speaks to VCF Media after the match against RC Celta
Alberto Marí talked about the match against RC Celta with VCF Media, having dispatched a penalty to score in Vigo once again.
A good performance
We were convinced of trying to get the three points, which for us were very important. I think we had a good game; e took the lead twice and in the end it just wasn't to be. We are proud of the game we played.
Being a goalscorer at Balaídos
Football sometimes throws out these things. Almost a year ago -or a little over a year ago- I scored my first goal here, and today I got my second. This stadium has something for me. Let's see if next year we can score another one
Being handed the penalty awarded by Pepelu
I had won it, I was confident that I could take it and score, I asked him for it and he didn't have any problems handing it over to me.
Proud of the season
We fought hard. We had tried in the last few games to fight to be at the top and we narrowly missed out. But, we are proud of the work we have done. In a month another war begins again.
A boost in morale
This was a very important goal for me. I started the preseason very well, with goals and a good feelings. Then, that injury came that required me to undergo surgery and be out for many months. It is difficult to get back into match rhythm and be fit again. But, I think this goal is going to give me a lot to come back in a month.
